Javascript popups are very usefull for a wide variety of situations when building web applications, whether you are using ColdFusion or some other web programming language. The example I will use for this tutorial will be an employee lookup.

For this application, we will use a hypothetical form that we are filling out. We will use a Javascript Popup to select the person we want to add to the form. The joy of this simple technique is that you can use the same technique for any popup form you may need.
